Master of the Built Environment Architecture

The Department of Architecture is currently in a position to offer registration in a MASTERS DEGREE BY RESEARCH, the Master of the Built Environment and a Doctoral Degree, the Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture. NEITHER degree counts towards professional registration, but as a Master or Doctoral qualification, can articulate towards an academic career in the profession.

Requirements:

Every candidate for this qualification shall have:

1. Completed the requirements for the BBEHons (Architecture) or equivalent.

or

2. Have been granted a conferment of status for the above mentioned qualification.

INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMME

The Master’s Degree can only be undertaken by means of a full research option.

Where a student has not already completed a Research Methodology course then he/she will be required to complete it concurrently with his/her research.
