DigiFest a Success Despite Bad Weather

DigiFest a Success Despite Bad Weather

Overcast weather conditions could not spoil the fun for those who were attending the third annual DUT Digifest that was held at the DUT City Campus recently.

It was entertainment galore as different acts shared the stage which was located under the Campus’ famous Tree of Knowledge.

The event was also packed with a variety of entrepreneurs who had their own stalls to showcase their creativity. Food lovers were also not forgotten as food carts were placed around the court yard.

One of the day’s businessmen, Thabane Ntshangase, said he was grateful for the opportunity. “So far it has been fantastic. Though business is slow, we have been receiving good reception,” he said.

This year’s event also saw a number of DUT students from other campuses visiting the premises of City Campus for the first time. One of them was Sinenkosi Mpanza from the DUT ML Sultan Campus who said she was having the time of her life at the “tiny campus”. “This is my first time at City Campus. I can’t lie, I’m really enjoying myself,” she said.

The 2016 DigiFest left a quite number of attendees saying they cannot wait for next year’s Festival.
