Welcome to the Durban University of Technology's Television School. This website will help you learn a little more about the leading Television School in South Africa. The department was established in 1988 and became known as the Department of Video Technology at Technikon Natal. In 2002 it became part of the new, merged institution: the Durban University of Technology (DUT).
Making a television programme is a highly specialized task. It requires a team of bright, creative, and hard working individuals. It demands great technical skill. It needs people who are well trained.
If you would like to work in the television industry the first, most important step, is to get the right training and qualifications to equip you for your chosen career.
