Somatologists are concerned with aesthetic improvement by means of mental and physical health. The somatology therapist carries out treatments such as massage, electrotherapy, reflexology, hydrotherapy, physical education, nutritional guidance, hand, foot and face care, and depilatory and epilation procedures. These help clients to slim down, build muscle, relax and generally become healthier by following a balanced lifestyle. Somatologists need to be fit, mature and emotionally strong as they deal with people who have many different physical and psychological needs on a one to one basis.
