Love, Life and all in between speaks about General Bongekile Ngcobo’s experiences and lessons learned not only in love, but in life as a whole.

Ngcobo a former Durban University of Technology student, now a Senior Officer at the South African Defence Force will launch her book: Love, Life and all in between at the University on 17 September 2016.

Major Ngcobo hails from Durban’s Umlazi township and is the last born of seven siblings. She was the first sibling in her family to reach and graduate from University. 

Raised by a single, domestic worker parent, Ngcobo has always loved writing and believed that the sky was her limit. A Paramedic by profession, she has been in the Defence Force for 11 years and has been writing since her high school days. “Writing has been the love of my life. In high school, I won a number of writing competitions from essays to short stories writing competition,” she said.

General  Ngcobo does not only love writing but enjoys reading and helping those less fortunate then her. 

Her book: Love, life and all in between is a highlight of her experiences. It is about a life lived, mistakes made and lessons learned about love and life. “Anyone who has been in love, had a broken heart, lost a relative, failed to appreciate someone or fought against all odds to accomplish a dream will find something to relate to in this book,” she said.
