DUT FASHION DESIGNERS TO SHOWCASE THEIR WORK

A team of twelve Fashion Designers who are graduates and current students of the Durban University of Technology (DUT) will host a fashion show displaying a range of the latest in fashion at Kloof High School on 22 Friday 2008. The fashion show will start at 6h30 for 7h00 in the evening. The show is the aid for Gillitts Conservancy, which sponsored it.

Gabrielle Kool, the organiser of the fashion show, says this was put together by a team of designers that graduated from DUT last year and previous years. She assures the public that the fashion show will be a memorable one as Belly Dancers will provide entertainment. The purpose of the fashion show it to raise funds for the Gillitts conservancy, and to raise awareness of environmental issues to the youth. This is also a good opportunity for young designers to get their names out there and gain exposure. The evening wear is targeted at young girls who may want to purchase or order dresses for their matric dances and are available at a very reasonable price range. The ranges on display are a mixture of formal and casual wear and include lingerie and a few men’s outfits.

Tickets are R35 at the door.

Schools alongside the highway and surrounding areas are invited to come and see the latest fashion brands available.
