Student registrations at DUT are in full swing and making good progress as first year students register and inquire about the various courses offered at the University.

The registration process is being made easier by senior students at DUT who form part of the Students Assistance Committee put in place to ease the process and help first year students navigate the new environment.

“My job as a student assistant is to help new students with problems that they may encounter during the course of registration in terms of not knowing where to register and also to explain certain things that they might not be able to understand,” said Andile Nxumalo, a third-year student who is part of the Students Assistance Committee.

Bongeka Mbhamali, a first year Accounting student at DUT said he is excited to have registered for his course at DUT. Mbhamali said the registration process was smooth. “Now with my financial problems sorted, I can’t wait till lectures begin. This is a new chapter in my journey of growth,” she said.
