Mr D Kumar

Mr Dheo Aswanth Kumar is the Chief Financial Officer at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) and has served the institution for twenty years. He is currently a member of the Senior Executive Team (SET) of DUT. Mr Kumar has a plethora of financial skills which is critical to the management and operation of the financial ambit of the DUT.

His key responsibilities are, inter alia, (i) planning and management of the Finance Department in order to provide efficient and effective financial services to the DUT community and other relevant stakeholders; (ii) preparation of the budgets for the university; (iii) compilation of the university’s Annual Financial Statements; (iv) management of the university’s cash flow; (v) compilation of Management Reports in order to support strategic decision making; and providing advice and guidance to Management and Council on financial matters relevant to the institution.
