Talking ‘Magic’ with Mo

RadioDUT had the magical honour of hosting renowned South African magician Mo Magic on the popular lunchtime show: Lunch with the Girls yesterday (4 February 2016).

Born Mohammed Moorad, Mo Magic he is a qualified engineer who gave up his engineering job to pursue a career in magic from 2010. He  is best known to his fans for hosting his own successful variety show on SABC 3 called Magic with Mo which was rated the second most viewed reality show since it premiered on South African television this year (2016).

RadioDUT has previously hosted some unique celebrities, however, this was the first time a magician was on the show. Mo Magic kept the staff at RadioDUT and listeners spellbound with his famous illusion of turning a R50 note into R100.

“I honestly never believed in magic in my life and thought that this kind of magic only happened on TV but now I can now say with confidence that magic is a real art,” said RadioDUT lunchtime radio presenter Asante Chiliza.

Moorad hopes to inspire people through his art of magic and realised that the more he practices and invests time in his work, the better he becomes. He is currently promoting his one man show in Durban where he will be showcasing his favourite effects and routines from the past 14 years. His theatre shows take place from 11 to 14 February 2016 at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre. Book through Computicket.
