With just three years since discovering her interest in modelling, 18-year-old Sesethu Tswane, a Dental Assisting student at DUT, is a top 10 finalist in the Signature Cosmetics & Fragrances face search.

The first year student from Margate currently has the leading number of votes for the competition.

In 2013, when Tswane tried her hand at modelling, she was crowned Miss Hibiscus Coast Mall. Since then, she won all five competitions she participated in.

“I started modelling out of curiosity of trying something new. However, I realised that there was more to it than just walking down a ramp. You get to meet different, interesting people and there are also other community service activities involved,” she said.

Although Tswane loves modelling, her studies and future career take first priority. “School has and will always be my first priority. I am currently pursuing a national diploma in Dental Assisting and in the near future would love to also get a degree in Radiography,” she said.

“My wish is to grow in every aspect of my life, gain more experience – not only in modelling but in my career – and most of all, make my family, my sisters and friends proud,” added Tswane.
