ABOUT US
The DUT Midlands Entrepreneurship Centre and Student Desk (MEC) is a newly established department under the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC): Research, Innovation and Engagement, Professor Sibusiso Moyo. The MEC was established by Ms Ntokozo Ngcobo in March 2018. We offer both theoretical and technical entrepreneurial learning, support and activities to students based in Midlands, neighbouring community and local entrepreneurs. We aspire to become a centre of excellence that produces entrepreneurs and business leaders who build striving and sustainable enterprises through focusing but not limited to technology, agri-processing and arts sectors. We are situated at Riverside and Indumiso (Midlands) campuses.

a) Student support for potential entrepreneurs
b) Relevance of programmes for graduate employability including a focus on entrepreneurship education
c) Student support for potential entrepreneurs
d) The use of educational technologies and tools to enable teaching and learning
e) Contributing towards strengthening innovation and entrepreneurial platforms for research and innovation
f) Promotion of institutional research through wider university participation
