Violence against foreign nationals has been an endless feature since Post-Apartheid, peaking in May 2008. It occurs in locales with high levels of economic scarcity, male residents, informal housing and high levels of language diversity. We need talks amid ourselves as citizens and our migrant communities to address this issue furthermore to ascertain as African citizens what we can do to help.
