Nirupa Kemraj celebrated as she graduated Cum Laude with the Dean’s Merit award for her Postgraduate Diploma in Management Sciences specialising in Business Administration. Kemraj walked the stage at the DUT 2024 Autumn Graduation which was held at the Olive Convention Centre on Friday, 24 May 2023.

Her journey at DUT commenced when she had joined the institution as a staff member where she then decided to further her studies.

For Kemraj, graduating Cum Laude and with a Dean’s Merit award was such a big achievement as she had faced many challenges, one being working full time in a fast environment while studying part time. The DUT values she associates with are transparency, honesty, integrity, respect and respect.

“They go hand in hand and cannot be looked at in isolation.  Therefore, I try to live my life according to all these values and by doing so I shall continue to be fair, professional, committed, compassionate and strive to perform excellently,” shared Kemraj.

Kemraj is currently working as a Sourcing Manager at DUT Procurement and aims to continuing studying higher and perhaps go into the academic field as a lecturer even if its part time.

Advising first year students in her career field, she emphasised that age is just a number. “One is never old (not that I am old) to study and I love doing so because I enjoy it, and it’s for my own self development and I want to continue doing so,” concluded Nirupa Kemraj.
