The Durban University of Technology Football Club (DUT FC) is making history. After securing a thrilling victory at the USSA Tournament last year, they have earned a coveted spot in the upcoming Varsity Football Tournament-a first for DUT since the tournament’s inception.

This prestigious semi-professional competition brings together the best male and female university teams across South Africa. It has become a golden opportunity for DUT to showcase its sporting prowess and shine a light on the entire university.

Catch all the action live on SuperSport and SuperSport Schools from 25 July 2024, until the grand finale on 26 September 2024. The tournament format sees eight teams battle it out in seven standard matches before the finals.

To prepare for this monumental challenge, DUT FC dedicated two intensive weeks to a training camp. This rigorous period allowed the coaches to meticulously select the Varsity Football Squad, featuring talented players from both DUT Midlands Campuses and DUT Durban Campuses.

DUT FC is hosting an activation event on 22 July 22 2024 at the Steve Biko Campus (food court) from 12pm to 2pm. The activation continues until 23 July 2024 at the Indumiso and Riverside campuses.

Fans are encouraged to show their team spirit in person. DUT will be hosting a dedicated fan park at the Fred Crookes Sport Centre. Dates and details to be announced soon.
