Bio: I am a human geographer with research interests in cities, urban development, governance and quality of life. My PhD research was focused on urban change in South African cities, with particular emphasis on the relationship between economic growth, post apartheid transformation and neoliberalism. I am currently collaborating with researchers at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the University of the Western Cape on an NRF-funded project on the nexus of waste, water and society in relation to climate change, governance and South African cities. I teach settlement history, urban theory and research methods. ORCID: 0000-0002-8241-7082 |
