After hosting a Women’s Day picnic at the Botanic Gardens on Women’s Day (9 August 2012), the DUT Gender Forum is hosting two more events which will benefit everyone within the DUT Community.

One of these is a seminar on “Empowering Women for Social Change”. It takes place on Monday (20 August 2012) at the DUT Hotel School, DUT Ritson Campus. This seminar will be run by the Advice Desk for the Abused. Contact Rosaline Govender on 031 373 5643 for more information.

On Tuesday (22 August 2012), the DUT Gender Forum, in partnership with the SAPS will host a seminar on Self Defense. The tutorial is open to both men and women. The event takes place at the Cane Growers Hall, DUT ML Sultan Campus from 10h00 to 12h00. Contact Pam Govender on 031 373 5240 for more information.
