Head of Sport Administration at DUT, Size Vardhan has been invited to present four lectures to participants from 30 different countries at the University of Delaware in the US. He is expected to serve as a peer mentor for the 2011/2012 group of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme. He leaves on 29 September and will return on 8 October 2011.

The Invitation is extended to one participant from the previous year’s course programme and is based on that individual’s performance, the quality of the project and the potential to make a positive impact on current class participants.

Vardhan was named a top student after performing well in the course in 2010. He is also expected to deliver a lecture on sport management and sciences courses to students at this University. This is funded by the US Olympic Committee. He is required to share his experience of the courses and indicate how he incorporated it into his current coaching responsibilities. The course will include strategies to develop and implement project; ethics and sport, and coaching styles.

“I am excited to be invited to participate. I enjoy doing research in sport management and this provides me with that opportunity. I will meet people from diverse background who have different perspective on how to approach sport. This will have a direct impact on my professional career,” said Vardhan.

“You were a role model participant last year in every way and we feel you will have a positive impact on this year’s participants,” said Dr Matthew J. Robinson of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme at University of Delaware in a letter of invitation to Size Vardhan.
