Invite: Mahatma Gandhi in the 21st Century Interactive Talk

The Gandhi Development Trust invites you to the event, “Mahatma Gandhi in the 21st Century” an interactive media talk that enables the youth to connect with the life of Gandhi in the context of their lives.

The talk is an interactive experience with a series of short 3-5 minute films, memorabilia and shared experiences that explore Gandhi’s values and provides perspective in the modern world.

The talk culminates in a collaborative art experience that involves both students and pupils and makes a statement of their involvement and inspiration from the man who created the most powerful weapon in the world – SATYAGRAHA.

Birad Rajaram Yajnik, who will deliver the keynote address, is a creative design professional and heads a creative media technology company. In addition to 8 other titles, he produced MKG – Imaging Peace Truth and Ahimsa, a book on Mahatma Gandhi. In 2010 a special edition of the book was released at the United Nations to mark the International day of non-violence.

He has had the privilege of speaking at the Nehru Centre in London, the Tolstoy Farm in Johannesburg, the United Nations and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

At DUT, the interactive talk will take place at the Arthur Smith Hall, City Campus, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11h00.
