Jonsson Workwear and DUT collaborate for a worthy cause

When it comes to giving back, our belief at Jonsson Workwear, is that these experiences do not only provide unforgettable memories but they also create a deep awareness and a heart for giving. When the staff of The Fashion and Textiles department of Durban University of Technology (DUT) approached us with a community based project they were commencing on, in collaboration with The Edith Benson Home, we were excited to get on board. We donated a variety of fabrics that were then used to create personalised duvet covers and pillow slips for each child at the home.

Both first and second year DUT students made a set for a chosen child at The Edith Benson Home. The students then researched age and gender specific images and used various decorating techniques to make the duvets and pillows covers really unique. Through the immense talent and creativity of the students, around 80 duvet covers and pillow slips were made for the children at the Edith Benson Home for children ranging from about 2 to 7 years old.

Jonsson Workwear was thrilled to have been able to contribute to this wonderful cause, bringing light into the lives of so many little children.
