Durban film-makers, Marcus Hebbelman and Konrade Karz, have both won tickets to the 2011 Rugby World Cup after producing nine short films for the Great Crusade, How far would you go to get to New Zealand competition. Hebbelman is a second year Video Technology student at the Durban University of Technology.

Hebbelman and civil engineer Karz were the only South African team out of 100 that participated in the competition. They were awarded fourth place for their creativity and movie-making talent. Contestants were required to produce several short films to show how far they would go to get to New Zealand to watch the Rugby World Cup.

In their production titled, Going Postal, the duo devise a plan to post themselves to New Zealand. The pair later resort to faking their tattoos in Kiwi Culture by disguising their Springbok symbols.

The Great Crusade is a tour across scenic New Zealand following the Wallabies as they take on the world. Apart from attending the Rugby World Cup, the winners’ tour will include vineyards, mountain ranges and beaches, bungee jumping, jet boating, thermal springs, concerts and plenty of vibrant nightlife.

Hebbelman and Karz are avid rugby supporters and are looking forward to their two week tour and are excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity.
