Asanda Mngadi has shown dedication in academic excellence as she graduated Cum Laude for Diploma in Information and Communication Technology in Business Analysis, her first qualification at just 21.
For Mngadi graduating with Cum Laude is a significant milestone. It reflects her dedication, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence.
“It is an acknowledgment of my efforts and motivates me to continue striving for success in my future endeavours,’’ she added.
Hailing from KwaMashu, Durban, her journey at DUT has been enriching and transformative. Throughout her time here, she has gained valuable knowledge and practical experience that have prepared her for the professional world.
She strongly associates with the value of excellence because it pushed her to perform at her level best with continuous improvement. She also resonates with innovation and integrity as she believes in applying innovative solutions ethically in the business and technology sectors.
As glamourous as it may seems for Mngadi, but she never had it easy. She had to go through various challenges including balancing academic schedules with personal responsibilities, adapting to new learning methods, and managing stress during exams. However, these challenges helped her to develop resilience and better time management skills.
The Mngadi family was extremely proud and happy to see their daughter gracing the stage with pride. They have always supported her educational journey, and seeing her achievement brought them a lot of joy. She has been always passionate about technology and business. She wanted a career that combines both fields to solve real-world problems and contributes to organisational success.
She aims to further her studies, possibly pursuing a postgraduate qualification to deepen her knowledge and enhance her career prospects. She wants to become a skilled Business Analyst or ICT consultant as she wants to work in dynamic environments where she can apply her skills to improve business processes and contribute to technological advancements.
To first year students who wish to study at DUT, Mngadi says they must stay curious, be proactive in learning, and seek practical experience early. “Building a strong foundation in both ICT and business concepts is crucial. She also said they must be not afraid to ask questions and network with professionals in the field.
