Turning up the airwaves of RadioDUT’s Feel Good Breakfast Show today (02 February 2015) with his latest hot track Matimba was Kabelo “Bouga Luv” Mabalane, one of South Africa’s most successful kwaito music artists.

Matimba, which means strength in Tsonga, was released during late 2014 and is from his much anticipated album Immortal volume 3 which will be released early this year.

Many would remember that Bouga Luv’s rise to fame was through TKZEE, a successful SA kwaito music group formed by Mabalane, Tokollo Tshabalala and Zwai Bala. TKZEE rose to fame in late 1997 and early 1998 with their hit singles Palafala and Shibobo.

The talented Mabalane says his current hit Matimba is simply a way of acknowledging South African languages. “This is good music, an electric body of work that aims to appeal to a wide spectrum of musical palettes,” said Mabalane.

Bouga Luv did not take all the credit for his work, but acknowledges that this album would have not been possible if it were not for God, his supportive family and fans. DUT students came in numbers to take pics and autographs from the artist.

“It feels awesome to be on the road again especially since I have been out of the music scene for three years,” he said. Bouga Luv is out on the road promoting Matimba while working on his much anticipated album which is expected to be released sometime in June this year (2015).
