The Gwara Gwara maestro’s performance will form part of the DUT Fashion department’s fashion experience titled, “Pardon the Interruption” as a reference to this year’s 4th instalment of the Digifest which focuses on glitch and glamour and engages contests. DUT Department of Fashion and Textiles will drive the show, first and second year students will showcase their outfits produced in accordance to this year’s Glitch theme.

Fashion and Textile Lecturer, Fezile Mdletshe said the theme seeks to address the influences and effects that digital technologies have on society. “With the fast growth in digital gadgets, the world has become a fast forward universe with no interval to pause and reflect.”

“We miss out on so much-often finding ourselves trapped in deep thoughts wondering if we could rewind,” she added.
