Producing adaptive graduates is the envision of the Durban University of Technology (DUT). Making the university proud is alumna, Chidi Edeh, an ICT graduate. During and after his studies at DUT, Edeh, maintains a great ‘gift of the gab’. He fully immersed himself into the world of media and business. “My journey in the industry has allowed me to connect with a diverse range of people, from celebrities to everyday heroes, and share their stories. My mission is to bring audience closer to the stories that matter, elevating African media by showcasing an inspired image of the continent through partnerships and collaborations. As a dedicated storyteller, I strive to create moments that captivate, educate, and entertain. I’m known for my ability to engage audiences and create a memorable on-screen experience, so be sure to have it,” he explained enthusiastically.
Edeh spoke fondly of his now-more enhanced, forthcoming TV show, Invade: The Home Obsession. He highlighted that the show, renowned for its distinctive fusion of travel, design, art, and gourmet exploration is aimed at enthralling viewers with new episodes weekly. “We initially aired two episodes in 2023, and reviews indicate that audience enjoyed it and were ready for more. My team and I have taken the initiative to curate an even more exciting line-up of home-grown entertainment. Thanks to our partners and clients for the continued support and patience. We are bigger and better, new locations to explore and fresh vitality,” said Edeh jubilantly.
He indicated that the show is back to titillate every travel and design aspirations. “Without a doubt, Invade: The Home Obsession will provide an unmatched qualitative experience. The best part is that anyone can stream episodes on YouTube as well,” he said. Produced by his company and hosted by himself, he sets off on a thrilling journey through the different landscapes of Africa, delving into dynamic design schemes that embody authenticity in style and class. “The fascinating stories of the goal behind these visionary spaces create an extraordinary adventurous taste of Invade living which I call my 21 lessons learnt at the age of 21,” he said proudly.
He explains that the show celebrates travel and design whilst contributing to global perceptions of Africa and showcasing an array of talented individuals from the continent. “We aim to unite the continent and share in the richness of our culture and heritage. The ultimate objective is to invite more countries to join us in telling these resonating stories and showcasing their uniqueness through design and experience,” he professed. Edeh excitedly shared that, he and his team are already in production for season 2. “We believe in taking Africa to the world bringing the world to Africa,” he added.
