DUT Gender Forum Celebrates Women

The DUT Gender Forum hosted a Women’s Day event to celebrate women on Friday last week, 12 August 2016, at the DUT Art Gallery, Steve Biko Campus.

Themed: Bold and Dynamic Women, the event also aimed at celebrating women and recognising their strength.

Attendees were treated to gifts sponsored by Van Schaik Book Store and Old Mutual.

Amongst the guests at the event was Dr Rosaline Govender, Chairperson of Gender Forum – she was the host , with keynote speaker being Roshini Ramiah, a life coach who spoke about the tremendous roles of women and encouraged women to seek their full potential and always remain bold and strong.

DUT drama students graced the stage with poetry and dramatisation as part of the entertainment and a song by Gender Forum EXCO member Lindiwe Mtsweni.
