DUT Nursing Department Bids Farewell to Professor Nokuthula Sibiya

The Durban University of Technology’s department of Nursing has bid farewell to its head of the department, Professor Nokuthula Sibiya.

Professor Sibiya had been the HOD for the Nursing department for the last eight years. She (Professor Sibiya) had not only been just a head of department but also a mentor to many students and staff within the department.

“It is with mixed feeling that we must bid farewell to Professor Sibiya, who has been heading this department for so long. We have learnt so much from her and we wish her nothing but the best in her new role,” said Thokozani Mahlanze, a lecturer at the Nursing department in the Midlands Campus.

Professor Sibiya commenced her new position as the Executive Dean of Health Sciences. Currently Acting as HOD for the Nursing department is Dr Thembelihle Ngxongo.
