The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is proud to announce that Dr Nomcebo Mthombeni, Interim Director: Research and Postgraduate Support, has been nominated as a Stream Lead for the prestigious AWSISA Africa & Global South Water and Sanitation Dialogue, scheduled to take place in Johannesburg from 09 to 12 November 2025. More than 1500 delegates are expected to attend the three day symposium.
This high-level Association of Water and Sanitation Institutions of South Africa (AWSISA) event will convene thought leaders, policymakers, researchers and practitioners from across Africa and the Global South to engage in strategic dialogue, share ground-breaking innovations and accelerate collaborative solutions in the water and sanitation sector.
Dr Mthombeni’s nomination as a Stream Lead recognises her expertise, leadership and significant contributions to the field. In this role, she will be instrumental in helping to shape the dialogue’s agenda and steering critical conversations within her designated thematic stream.
