Q: What sparked your interest in this type of sport?

A: “I fell in love with basketball since I was a child when I watched the movie Coach Carter. I just never had the chance to play it as it was not a famous sport code in the area where I grew up.”

Q: In terms of the position you play, elaborate what it entails and how it benefits the team?

A: “I play 4-Power forward, for the most part I hunt for rebounds helping the team to get second chances and defensive stops but I can do more depending on what the team needs from me.”

Q: Which other sport codes are you interested in and why?

A: “ ESports , it’s the only sport that’s been consistent in my life since I was a child and it’s also where I enjoy basketball more.”

Q: Who is your sport role model and why?

A: “I’m not big on role models for now as I believe everyone’s path is different. It is good however to learn from others experience who have been on a path similar to yours.”

Q: Which ENVISION2030 Living Values and Principles do you associate with and why?

A: “All of them because I don’t see how I can leave one out but accountability and respect if I had to choose.”

Q: Do you see a future in Basketball?

A: “ Yes I do, as I enjoy playing but in terms of playing for income, no I do not see one.”

Q: As a DUT sport star, how does your role benefit your community?

A: “I inspire others to pursue their passions and become involved in sports. I also act as a role model for healthy living and active lifestyle.”

Q: What impact has sport made on your life?

A: “It has helped me to stay fit and kept me astray from the wrong things.”

Q: Can you suggest some ideas to attract spectators to varsity sport?

A: “ Most spectators would gladly come if transport is provided or maybe have an option  for the students to take part in sports events, providing platforms for students to perform poems, music etc during breaks. This would also bring the already existing DUT community together.”
