DUT SRC Update Regarding NSFAS

DUT SRC Update Regarding NSFAS

Dear students

DUT has received the first list of students that will be funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) in 2017. This list includes students who had applied for funding in 2016 as well as those who have been unblocked and coded as MTU6. NSFAS has emailed all these students notifying them of the outcome of their application. However, we (DUT SRC) have requested the institution to send SMS’s informing the students of this outcome so that they can proceed with registration. All students who are on the list should have received an SMS yesterday (Monday, 16 January 2017).

It must be noted that this is not the final list for 2017 applicants. Another list will be sent to us (DUT SRC) during this week and all students will be notified by SMS. Furthermore, the SRC offices are open for consultation as well as to deal with any queries regarding students.

The DUT SRC offices are based at the Open House Building (where Standard Bank is also based), third floor, Steve Biko Road. Operating hours are between 8h00 to 16h00 from Monday to Friday.

For more information on this matter, please contact Zama Mncube, DUT SRC President, on 074 701 2804 or Mbuso KaJobe Sithole, DUT SRC Deputy Secretary General, on 076 292 9428.
