Innovation drives the economic growth. At the heart of it, research and development activities allow scientists and researchers to develop new knowledge, techniques, and technologies. As technology changes, people can produce more, thereby increasing productivity. As productivity grows, so does the economy. An innovation ecosystem includes universities, government, corporations, startup accelerators, venture capitalists, private investors, foundations, entrepreneurs, mentors, Innovation Labs as well as the media. Each plays a significant role in creating value in the larger ecosystem by transforming new ideas into reality through access and financial investment. The Research and Innovation Office creates an enabling environment for Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to thrive. This will be discussed.
