Njabulo is currently employed as a Language Practitioner in the University Language Planning and Development Office of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
He is a former lecturer within the department of Media, Language and Communication at the Durban University of Technology. He started as a student tutor then a junior lecturer and subsequently a lecturer. He has lectured in Language and Translation, Intercultural Studies, Proof Reading, Communication Skills. Njabulo has also been to the USA as a Cultural Representative in the Walt Disney’s International Cultural Exchange Program where he was representing South Africa and isiZulu language in particular. Njabulo also worked for the Absa Group initially as a Provincial Customer Acquisition and Campaigns Management Consultant before moving to the role of Provincial Training Consultant. He has served as an SRC PRO for both the South African Student SRC Union and and the former M L Sultan’s SRC where he also served as the Residence Co-ordinator. He also has served as a union chairperson for the Tertiary Educator’s National Union of South Africa.
