Bio: Professor Dorasamy is Full Professor in the Department of Public Management and Economics at the Durban University of Technology. She lectures in the undergraduate programme and supervises postgraduate students. The focus area of her research is ethics and public sector management, with an emphasis on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery underpinned by a strong sense of governance within a democratic dispensation. Her international linkages involve collaborative research with the Swinburne University of Technology, Federation University and Monash University in Australia, the American University in Cairo, MUST University in Kenya and Mendel University in Czech Republic. The focus of this international collaboration is linked to governance, leadership excellence and ethical practices. She has successfully supervised and graduated several Masters and Doctoral students, while being recognised as a local and international examiner for postgraduate research. She is an accredited evaluator for EDTP and CHE; and an editorial board member for several internationally acclaimed journals. Professor Dorasamy has developed resource material for government, and both local and international institutions of higher education. She has co-authored textbooks for senior secondary learners, books for higher education purposes and she has published in local and international journals as well as presented papers at national and international conferences. She has been a keynote speaker and session chair at several international conferences. She has been the recipient of the Top Researcher\Top Female\ Top faculty Awards at the Durban University of Technology. She was successfully nominated for the international staff exchange in the Faculty of Regional development at the Mendel University, Czech Republic and the federation university in Australia

Bio: Dr Maliga Reddy is an Associate Director in the Department of Public Management and Economics; with some 26 years of service at DUT.  She served 9 of these years as Head of Department: Public Management (Durban/PMB). She represents DUT on various National, Provincial and Local forums in both a professional and academic capacities. Her training and development forte resides in Public Management & Leadership, Local Government Management, Development Management, Disaster Risk Management and Project Management. She has extensive facilitation experiences which includes training for on various programmes through the following: 

• National School of Government: NQF Levels 7/8 – Leadership and Programme/Project
• Centre for Governance (North West University)- Advanced Management: Municipal Governance: Municipal Performance Management; Policy Design & Analysis
• African Centre for Disaster Studies (North West University)- Disaster and Risk Management

Bio: Mr Moonsamy Lutchmanan Pillay (Moon) is a Senior Lecturer in Economics. He has a Masters Degree in Commerce (Government and Economics) from the University of Sydney, Australia. His research focus areas are Political Economics, Economic Development and International Economic Relations.

Bio: Dr Jason S. Davis is a Lecturer in Economics. He received a PhD from UKZN and his research interests are in economic education, rural and agricultural development, and SMMEs.

Bio: Vanissa is a lecturer in Public Management. She obtained her Master degree from the Nelson Mandela University. Her areas of academic interest are: Human Resources, Labour Relations, Governmental and International, Public Finance Management, Development, Supply Chain Management and Organizational Development.

Bio:Community Development; PhD in Women’s Entrepreneurial Development; Peacebuilding. From the US, long-term resident of Botswana and now South Africa.

Bio: Dr Genius Murwirapachena is a Lecturer in Economics. He received a PhD in Economics from the Nelson Mandela University. His research interests are in Environmental Economics, Public Sector Economics, Discrete Choice Experiments, Environmental Valuation, and Efficiency Analysis. Genius has presented papers at both local and international conferences, and is involved in the supervision of Masters and Doctoral students.

Bio: Mr Christopher Ikechukwu Ifeacho is a Lecturer in Economics. He received a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and currently studying towards a PhD in Economics at Northwest University. His research interests are in Energy Economics and Green Growth.

Bio: Fanyana Ntuli, is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Management and Economics. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Management Sciences. His focus areas include Systems Thinking, Leadership in the Public Sector, Municipal Finance and Governance, as well as Programme and Project Management for Public Sector. Fanyana is a registered assessor, and also possesses great facilitation skills.
