The Master’s Degree by Research 

• The minimum requirement for entry to the Master’s degree is a first degree with an average of 70% or above, evaluated as NQF level 8 by the South African Qualifications Authority, with an average of 70% or above (an upper second class degree).
• Under the supervision of a member of ICON staff, students write a thesis of around 40 000 words. We require that an action research approach be followed, in order that some peace is built during the thesis process. Titles of completed theses are available at xxx.
• Full-time students are not required to pay administrative or tuition fees but are expected to complete within two years. Fees will be charged for students who do not complete within three years.
• The official title of the degree is a Master of Management Sciences specialising in Public Administration -Peace Studies (MManSc).
