“This programme will not only contribute to the academic growth of participants but also serve as a catalyst for meaningful cultural exchange. We will explore the rich economic tapestry of Durban, creating lasting connections and fostering a deeper appreciation for the diversity of global economic systems. The DUT Intercultural Week is also going to be a platform where knowledge meets culture, and learning extends beyond borders,” she said.

Some of the highlights at the DUT Intercultural Week are:

  • Visiting the Chamber of Commerce and KwaMuhle Museum for a cultural tour.
  • Visiting the Warwick Junction Market, Inanda Rank, Durban Station: interactions, and local trader engagements.
  • Student focused engagements.
  • Pietermaritzburg Township Experience (food, lifestyles, and tour), and an entrepreneurial student’s engagement.

“The DUT Intercultural Week will feature participants with diverse academic backgrounds ranging from Business Management, Business Administration, and Renewable Energy Systems to Media, Language, and Communications. These profiles promise to bring a captivating exchange of ideas, fostering an intellectually stimulating and culturally enriching atmosphere for the programme. We anticipate that the contributions of the participants will elevate the overall experience of the Intercultural Week,” said  Mncube.
