Background

The Indo-African International Conference on Emerging Materials Science and Technologies (IAFICEMST’2022) virtually will be hosted by Durban University of Technology in collaboration with Chandigarh University, Punjab, India. IAFICEMST’2022 will serve as a valuable and important platform for inspiring international and interdisciplinary exchange at the cutting edge of Materials science research. Over the course of three days, internationally renowned speakers will discuss how their research has evolved in response to current challenges, including interesting and inspiring learnings in projects and inventiveness. The experts and industry partners in attendance will provide an excellent networking opportunity. The conference is linked to DUTs research focus area in nanotechnology.

Problem Statement

This conference will provide professionals and practitioners from a variety of fields with the fundamental tools to better implement and use material science, city planning, science policy advocacy, and renewable energy systems. In addition, the conference aims to bridge the gap between nanotechnology’s potential applications in different fields. As a result, new policies for better energy management and smart green cities will emerge. They will serve as a think tank for advancement and expertise in material science in Africa and India.

Impact

Through its partners in the industry, scholars, and internal departments at the DUT, this three-day conference will help raise awareness of material science. Universities keep playing a significant part in the development of skills, knowledge products and in depth understanding of material science and its potential applications. It is the goal of the IAFICEMST’2022 to serve as a voice for the field’s most pressing issues. In addition, it will contribute to the conference’s research outputs.
