INNOBIZ HOSTS SAP4HANA WORKSHOP

The innobiz Durban University of Technology (DUT) Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation hosted a two day Systems, Applications and Products 4 High-performance Analytic Appliance (SAP 4HANA) Workshop recently, at the Durban and Midlands Offices, for entrepreneurs in their incubation programme across the pre-incubation, incubation and post incubation stages.

The workshop, facilitated by Mr Ernst Schulten, who is the Director of the International Office at the University of Applied Sciences, Aschaffenburg in Germany was aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with internationally embraced entrepreneurial knowledge. This introductory session broadened the spectrum of thinking, planning, and the research fragment of the incubates business journey as well as economic, energy saving and ultimate capacity of SAPs.

Mr Schulten introduced his entrepreneurial knowledge and skills online Moodle programme which equips the entrepreneurs with the proficiency of the expertise needed in their adventurous journey.

When the entrepreneurs were given an opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses, Mr Schulten advised and said, “be rare, be exceptional, be different! Be aware of branding propaganda whenever you are creating or marketing your brands.”

Apart from networking amongst themselves and enrolling in the programme, Mr Schulten emphasized on the creation of websites.

“It is essential to have websites of your businesses as it is the first thing that investors, such as myself, look form,” he said.

Speaking about the session, entrepreneur, Mpendulo Mwandla the CEO and founder of DORCA PAINTS PTY LTD said: “The session really opened up my views on the SAP, and will highly benefit my painting business as I will ensure to infuse this new learned knowledge into it.”

“I am so glad to have been part of this session as I am now aware of how to go about making my business more unique and rare seeing as it is a farming business. I am grateful for the opportunities that will benefit my entrepreneurial journey through this session,” said Ntobeko Mafu, CEO of Madame -Clucks- A lot.

Giving the closing remarks, Professor Keolebogile Shirley Motaung said that DUT has signed an MOU with University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg and DUT is excited about this partnership and cannot wait to see the entrepreneurs benefit greatly from such a partnership.
