Sanele Mpungose, (23) was elated to have graduated with Cum Laude for his Degree of Bachelor of Health Sciences in Homoeopathy, at the DUT Celebratory Autumn Graduation ceremony held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Durban International Convention Centre, on Wednesday, 20 July 2022.

“I am very grateful to have graduated with Cum Laude and to represent the course even though Homoeopathy is not an easy course, but through hard work, dedication and knowing exactly where I am coming from I managed to pass the way I wanted to.  I would like to thank God because during my hard times I used to pray for help and lastly, I want to thank my family for their support too,” he said.

For Mpungose, Homoeopathy was his second choice, his first choice was medicine. However, his interest in this course began to peak during the selection process and interview stage, and he told himself that he is going to give it his all and excel in this course.

His end goal is to study further until he receives a Master’s degree in Homoeopathy.

His advice to future DUT students who wish to pursue this programme, is that it is very demanding.

“Pay attention in class and it is important to stay focused and to always work hard and you will see good results,” he conveyed.
