Lecturer: Ms Lonna Mabandla Tel: 031-373 2941 Email: LonnaM@dut.ac.za Campus: Steve Biko Campus Qualification(s) & Institution: ND, BTech, MBE (DUT) Courses Currently Teaching: Planning Design PLDS111 and PLDS211, Planning Law PLLW101 Area of Expertise Or Research and Innovation Areas : My teaching and research interests include planning practices associated with urban design, transportation, the public space economy, community development and capacity building, diversity and inclusivity planning, the preservation of the natural environment, and the implementation of sustainability practices in all spheres of urban and regional planning. Bio: I am a qualified Urban and Regional Planner, involved in Higher Education in the urban and regional development discipline. I have experience in both the public and private sector within the profession. As a young lecturer I hope to merge my work and student experiences to perform my duties in the most relevant and relatable way. In my practice I am mindful to look at the contexts of past, future and most importantly the present. I am currently pursuing a PhD qualification to further my knowledge in the field. |
