Msibi Aims To help Budding Entrepreneurs through His Book

The Durban University of Technology Financial Accounting Alumnus, Sikhona Msibi took time off from his busy schedule to tell us about his latest book titled: Hustlers Confession- Entrepreneurial Journey in Real Time, 1st Edition.

In his book Msibi speaks on his journey as an entrepreneur and also provides some guidelines to aspiring entrepreneurs. “Growing up as an entrepreneur and having seen some of the challenges and benefits of being in business, I saw a need to write this book. My aim with this book is to eradicate the perception that for you to start a business, you need to have massive funding. This was not the case for me since I was never fortunate enough to get it,” he said.

The DUT graduate had to use his NSFAS allowance to pursue his entrepreneurial dream, he then used this allowance to implement the idea that he had. After graduating in 2014 for his National Diploma in Financial Accounting, he did not look back. He is currently the founder and Managing Director of Sitheco Brands (Pty) Ltd and a founding member the South African Youth Business Society, he sits in advisory committees such as the Department of Applied Law at DUT. “The journey with Sitheco Brands has been good, I have diversified to various industries such as clothing and graphic designing,” explains Msibi.

Although Msibi’s focus is currently on his business, in 2020 he will be dedicating some of his time to his studies, a journey he identifies as being vital for all entrepreneurs. “I aim to get my Doctorate Degree in Business Law. Education also plays a very vital role in the success of your business. If I want to be a multimillionaire and empower other aspiring entrepreneurs, I need to have my education in check,” he said.
