The Durban University of Technology is honoured to invite you to the official launch of RadioDUT.
The launch will take place on Friday, 25 July 2014, at the Steve Biko Campus Food Court area from 12pm to 2pm. The launch is proudly sponsored by Cell C, Blackberry, Trade & Investment KZN and Redbull.
RadioDUT is not just another university radio station but rather, a brand which aims to make a meaningful contribution to our community and act as a voice of the students, one which they can relate to. This newly formed Durban University of Technology’s campus and online-based radio station, RadioDUT has its hopes for the future pinned on high standards. The diverse, vibrant radio station seeks to empower students before, during and after their academic life. The radio station had a worldwide ‘soft launch’ on 2 June 2014. The creation of the radio station ties in with the university’s digital migration strategic plan to create something that will allow DUT to move into that phase. The radio station’s key principle is to focus on being different from existing radio stations, choosing a focus dedicated to relevant content that appeals to our target audience.
RadioDUT’s programme line-up features an exciting list of talent, starting with a dynamic breakfast show from 9am to 11am. The show allows listeners to call through and talk about issues. Then we have a show about women – but from a man’s’ perspective of women issues. The Afternoon Drive show is from 3pm to 5pm. RadioDUT will also have news bulletins, covering both local, regional, national and international news.
So tune in to RadioDUT www.radiodut.co.za which is now LIVE from 9am to 5pm every Monday to Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm. We are currently working towards broadcasting 7days a week.
