Durban University of Technology’s Permanent Collection Revisited celebrates decades of artistic creativity by local artists. The University has a substantial collection and prides itself in being an institution that contributes to the preservation of South African Culture and Heritage.

The exhibition will showcase selected artworks from its 30 year collection and provides a unique opportunity in exposing the public to yesteryear South African masterpieces.

In recent years African art on auction has received increased interest from global investors. Local art collections are fast becoming a beacon of hope in ensuring that works of celebrated artists remain in the country.

The eclectic exhibition is a must see and showcases a mix of traditional and contemporary art which draws on various techniques and subject matter. The Permanent Collection Revisited will showcase artworks by Tinus Du Jong, Dumile Feni, William Kentridge, Peter Schultz, Ingrid Winterbach, Trevor Makhoba, Hillary Graham, Penny Siopis, Jackson Hlugwane, Jeremy Wafer, John Mafungejo, Jan Jordaan, Tito Zungu, Dan Rakquathe, Jeff Rankin, Robert Hodgins, and Helen Sibidi.
