DUT Invite: 2013 Study in Europe Fair

Media Statement by Alan Khan, Senior Director: Corporate Affairs at the Durban University of Technology

The European Commission, together with the International Education and Partnerships (IEP) Directorate at the Durban University of Technology, cordially invite you to the 2013 Study in Europe Fair scheduled to take place over two days (Friday 06, September, 2013 and Saturday 07, September 2013) at the DUT Ritson Campus Exam Hall.

Hosted by DUT for the first time, the fair will afford South African students and staff members of local universities the chance to learn about study opportunities in European universities while also highlighting scholarship and funding opportunities which exist in the European Union.

The decision to hold the fair at DUT was made a year ago following a conversation between Dr Berene Kramer, from the European Commission in Pretoria, and Dr Lavern Samuels, President of the International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA) and Director of IEP at DUT.

Dr Samuels said, “The DUT IEP Directorate is indeed honoured to partner with the European commission and we are delighted to help present this showcase of academic opportunities to the South African academic community here at DUT. I hope that students and staff are maximally exposed to the opportunities being presented at the fair and that they take up these opportunities.”
