Emergency Medical Care medic presses on with education

Paul Newton, will graduate with his BTech degree in Emergency Medical Care this April when he will also receive the Dean’s Merit Award for exceptional work. Newton is currently employed as a clinical tutor at Durban University of Technology’s Department of Emergency Medical Care. Enthusiastic about developing his expertise in this area, Newtown is currently studying towards his Masters qualification and wishes to continue his academic career at the University. He believes the secret to his success is hard work, discipline and attention to detail.

“I am thrilled to be receiving the Dean’s Merit Award and it is certainly beyond my expectations,” he said.

Newton said his initial intentions were to only complete his National Diploma, however the encouragement he received and the enthusiasm of the lecturing staff motivated him to study further.
