STEVE BIKO CAMPUS IS WHERE THE FUN WILL BE FOR THE LAST DAY OF THE DUT DIGIFEST

The last day of the 4th Digital Art Festival at the Durban University of Technology scheduled for Saturday, 11 November 2017, will see Steve Biko Campus come alive with a jam – packed entertainment programme.

Arts lovers will be treated to a crazy lineup of creatives ranging from open mic sessions, hip-hop battles, digital battles, live performances and many more.

DigiFest Organiser, Steven Jones said the highlight of the 2017 DigiFest will be the digital battle, which will take place at the university’s Art Gallery above the Alan Pittendrigh Library at Gate 3 at Steve Biko Campus. “The Digital Battle is a live head-to-head design tournament where participants flex their skills in front of an audience and compete for some great prizes. The competitors will engage in a battle of their choice including 2D design, animation, character design and video editing,” said Jones.

The evening will shut down with a banger with artists such as Moonchild, Sparks Bantwana, Rude Boys, ByLwansta, Gaba, Sibot and Toyota are anticipated to wow their audience. Access is free for students and R40 for members of the public interested to join in the fun. Gates will open at 12pm.
