DUT’s Management Sciences Faculty on Monday (17 August 2015) hosted entrepreneur Alyesia Silberg at the Mansfield Hall, DUT Ritson Campus.

The aim of Silberg’s visit was to encourage the students who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Silberg is a serial entrepreneur, data marketer, public speaker and motivator, strategist and mathematician.

“I grew up as a poor kid in rich school but that did not hold me back because I knew what my dream was, and I was not going to rest until I saw my dream become a reality,” said Silberg. “You must have faith in yourself. As a woman it is not easy to start your own business but I am a living witness. Many women must be encouraged by my story because it shows that it is possible although it might not be that easy but it is doable,” she said

Silberg encouraged DUT students to grab each and every opportunity coming their way, also emphasising that they must create opportunities for themselves.
