Bio: I graduated from Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute and State University, Ukraine, in 1986. My graduation MSc thesis “Design and Analysis of a Span of the South Bridge over the Dnieper River Using FEM” (real project) was praised as the best in 25 years. In 1996 I obtained a doctoral degree at KwaZulu-Natal University, Durban, South Africa. The title of the doctoral thesis is “Computational and Analytical Modelling of Composite Structures Based on Exact and Higher-Order Theories”. Currently, I am a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Durban University of Technology. I am married with one child. . Qualification & Institution: MSc (Civil Engineering), PhD (Mechanical Engineering). . Courses Currently Teaching: Strength of Materials IV [SMAT-402], Mechanics of Machines [MCHM-401], Computer Programming for Engineers (from 2022), and Supervision of Postgraduate Students. . Research and Innovation focus: Solid Mechanics, Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary Optimisation, Nano-Composite Materials. |
