Post-Doctoral Fellow: Dr Emmanuel Kweinor Tetteh Tel: 031 373 2498 Email: EmmanuelK@dut.ac.za Location: Berwyn Court, Ground Floor Campus: Steve Biko Campus Qualification(s): MEng (DUT) and a Doctor of Engineering Bio: I am a Research Fellow at the Durban University of Technology and the Principal Investigator championing the Green Engineering Research Group (GERG) under the department. He is a DUT alumnus-trained Chemical Engineer with MEng (Cum Laude) and a Doctor of Engineering. With over 5 years of experience in academics and research, Dr Tetteh’s research interest includes the valorizations of waste to energy, magnetic separation technology, water-energy nexus technology, green hydrogen, nanotechnology, process optimization and modelling. He is actively involved in a number of collaborative projects with other academic institutions and industrial partners while mentoring and supervising projects under the GERG. In the department, he has lecture courses such as Environmental Sustainability (EVST101), Chemical plant 302, Chemical process industries, Petroleum Refining Technology and Process Control IV. He has authored several book chapters and DHET accredited journal publications. As a young researcher, Dr Tetteh holds several prestigious, international and locally recognized research accolades to his name. Key of the accolades to his name includes the South Africa National Research Foundation (NRF) 2021 Award of Research Excellence for Next Generation Researchers in Engineering and Technology. Tetteh is also the recipient of the ENI Debut 2019 award for the Young Talent Researcher from Africa in a ceremony held in Rome, Italy and was presented by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella. |
