Lecturer: Dr Thembisile Mahlangu Tel: 031 373 2218 Email: thembisilem1@dut.ac.za Campus: Steve Biko Campus Qualifications:BTech (Chem Eng) (TUT), MTech (Chem Eng – Cum Laude) (UNISA) DEng (Chem Eng) (TUT) . Bio: I am a Lecturer in the Chemical Engineering department. Prior to joining DUT in March 2020, I held various positions at the CSIR from 2010. I am currently part of the Green Engineering and Sustainability research group. I was named one of the Mail and Guardian 200 Young South Africans for the year 2020. My passion for merging her research interests with community engagement has led to radio interviews and features in TV programs. I am also passionate about research projects that have the potential to benefit communities and bridge the innovation chasm. I enjoy taking part in community engagement drives and outreaches. I aspire that my research activities contribute towards addressing the UN’s sustainable developmental goal 6, water and sustainability, whilst actively exploring 4IR application opportunities. .
