Mr Wiseman Madinane obtained his National Higher Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the former ML Sultan Technikon. He furthered his studies with a Senior Executive Programme at Harvard Business School, Massachusetts, USA.
Wiseman is currently serving as a director at HI Tech Transformers where he mentors and coaches the CEO and the executive team. His other expertise includes consulting on business strategies and systems. He also advises on financial modelling and financing options.
His career highlights include, his participation in various multimillion Rand capital expenditure projects that resulted in Mondi Paper – Merebank becoming a global player. He was part of a negotiation team that concluded a three year long term wage agreement with the trade unions. He led a team that negotiated a new shift system, replacing a system that had been in place for more than twenty years.
He participated in the Mondi South Africa board as a non-executive during its unbundling resulting in a major empowerment deal in the paper and packaging industry and was also a founding member of the Durban Community Foundation as part of the initiative of the Durban Growth Coalition.
As the CEO of Gillmich Pty Ltd, Mr Madinane managed a R55 million budget. He was responsible for managing a staff in excess of 90 people. He kept in touch with his alma mater by serving on the Chemical Engineering Advisory Board at DUT. Mr Madinane served as the Executive Chairman of Ingwekazi Holdings.
He is also an Executive Director of Rotunda PTY Ltd and Merpak Envelopes Pty Ltd which he both partly owns. He is a 2005 Convocation Silver Tusk recipient. He hails from Clermont and his business interests have relocated him to JHB.
