Bio: Dr. Smangele Moyane serves as the Head of the Department of Information and Corporate
Management (ICM) at the Durban University of Technology. She holds a PhD in Information Science
from the University of South Africa. Her research contributions are in Information Science and Business and Information Management. Dr. Moyane is also dedicated to fostering the next generation of scholars through her exceptional mentorship. In her role as HoD, Dr. Moyane provides visionary leadership that shapes the department’s academic direction and research initiatives. Her commitment to academic excellence is unwavering, making her a vital asset to the Durban University of Technology and the broader academic community.

Bio: Dr Peggy Pinky Mthalane graduated with a degree: Doctor of Philosophy: Management Sciences, specialising in Public Management at the Durban University of Technology, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information and Corporate
Management. She has lectured in Business and Information Management since 2003 until current (2024)
Her expertise and knowledge span around Self Evaluation Reports (SER) for programme reviews, recurriculation in the Qualification: Business and Information Management, offered across Durban and Pietermaritzburg campuses. She had a major contribution in the design of Project Management modules offered in the programme. She serves as an Editorial Board member for the International Journal of Education, Culture Society and various local and International journals in a review capacity. She serves as both the FRC and DRC Member within the Department of Information and Corporate Management. She is involved in Masters Doctoral supervision. Dr Mthalane reviews NRF (IREC) proposals for the Durban University of Technology. Mthalane was one of the organisers and session chair of a virtual International Conference entitled: “Fostering Innovative Advances in Applied Management”
(FinAAM) held by Management Sciences in 2021. Currently, she is the Deputy-Organiser of the 1st Biennial Interdisciplinary Conference of Business & Information Management to be held in October 2024.

Bio: Dr Ramsuraj more than 12 years of experience in the Public and Private Higher Education as a lecturer, Group Head of Research, Head of Academic Planning and Manager of Student and Academic Affairs. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Management Sciences) degree from the Durban University of Technology and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree amongst her other qualifications. Dr Ramsuraj has published articles in DHET listed peer reviewed academic journals both local and international. She was the Editor-in-Chief of an academic journal, the Educor Multidisciplinary Journal. At DUT she is involved with post graduate supervision and lecturing both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Bio: Dr. Ngibe is currently employed as a lecturer in the Department of Information and Corporate Management and has six (6) years of academic experience. He holds a PhD in Business Administration and is one of Durban University of Technology’s promising emerging published academics in the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics. In the fields of entrepreneurship, small business growth, business administration, innovative leadership, and higher education research, he has produced more than ten (10) DHET accredited peer reviewed academic research publications. Dr. Ngibe supervises master’s and PhD students and serves as an external examiner for master’s and PhD programs in various South African universities. He also serves on various DUT committees and is an editorial board member for the Journal of Business and Economic Development, World Journal of Education, and Contemporary Journal of Management. Above all, Dr. Ngibe is a very dedicated scholar, contentious individual, passionate researcher, a transformational leader, commander of excellence, and a pillar of the community.

Bio:  Mrs Padiachee has been lecturing since 1986 to date.  She has lectured in the Diploma, Advanced Diploma and BTECH degree programmes in the Department of Information and Corporate Management. Bio: Amongst his many responsibilities, Mr Naidoo is tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of the 200 computers in four department computer labs and one faculty computer lab, ensuring that the computer labs he oversees are fully functional and always kept up to date with the latest computer technology. Mr Naidoo is also always willing to assist staff and students and can always be seen interacting with them, assisting computer related queries. Mr Naidoo is well liked and respected by all our students as he is always available to advise students and share his expertise.
